The Horse Stance is a very strong Hung Gar stance. It considered being the foundation for all the stances in the Hung system. This Hung Gar stance is very solid, your weight is distributed evenly over both legs and your centre of gravity is very low - It develops very strong legs and endurance and resembles a rider that is "sitting on a horse".

The deep curved front leg and a straight back leg can be seen in the Gung Bo or the Bow stance.

The Cat stance (90% of the weight is on the back leg and 10% on the front leg) is trained very low in Hung Gar.
